Spaghetti with Sausage and Peppers

| Ingredients: |
| 1 tablespoon olive oil |
| 1/2 cup red onion, chopped1 cup green pepper, chopped1 cup green pepper, chopped |
| 1 cup green pepper, chopped |
| 16 ounces Italian sausage links |
| 2 cups marinara sauce |
| 1 teaspoon dried oregano |
| 1/4 cup red wine or water |
| 16 ounces Dakota Growers Spaghetti |
| 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese |
| Directions In a large skillet over medium heat, cook sausage links until cooked through, about 10 minutes. Remove from pan and let cool slightly. Cut into 1/2-inch pieces. Drain off excess juices from sausage, reserving 2 tablespoons. Saute the onion and pepper in the juice for 3 minutes, or until soft. Return the sausage pieces to the pan and add the red wine. Cook until the wine has evaporated, about 2 minutes. Add marinara sauce and oregano and cook 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Meanwhile, prepare pasta according to package directions; drain and combine with sauce. Toss with Parmesan cheese. Servings 4 |
